Cats and Humans
have Similar Brains

The brain of your feisty feline actually mirrors your own more than you think. In fact, cats are being used for neurological studies more than any other animal precisely because of this similarity.
The only difference between a cat's brain and a human's is that human brains have a neocortex and a cat's brain does not. The neocortex is that part of the human brain that functions as a center for storing speech and memory. The more primitive underlying brain structures of cats and humans, however, are nearly identical.
The cat brain is mostly, sensory. This means that a cat is very sensitive to changes in the environment. It relies on its whiskers, noses and other tools to react specifically to the environment. This makes cats good observationists and allows them to respond to changes readily.
