Why does your cat sneeze?
by
KittyKondo.com
Cats just like humans sneeze because
of irritants that can get into their nasal passages. Feline sneezing can
also happen by secretions in the nose. And since cats can't blow their noses
on tissue like humans when they do sneeze its best to
clear away: they will sneeze everything out!
There are many causes for sneezing in cats, some of which are similar
to humans: viral infection, allergies, bacteria or even foreign objects
in the nose. Please don't use any decongestants or nasal sprays made for
humans on your cats and have your sneezing feline examined by a vet.
If your cat's sneeze is clear and watery this is normal, however if
the discharge is green, yellow or bloody your cat will need to be treated
by a vet for possible infection.
