Help! My Cat has Static!
by
KittyKondo.com
Ever pick up
your cat and get an electric charge? During winter or
other dry seasons, cats may pick up static in the air and
discharge it every time you pet them. How do you
get rid of pet electricity? Easy. Treat it like your normal
washer/dryer static and rub your sparky feline with a fabric
softener sheet. That should do the trick!
Chemicals in
fabric softeners are not harmful to cats, although some
heavily-scented softeners might be too much for kitty's
excellent sense of smell.
Another
option is to use room humidifiers to decrease the static in the
room that your cat may attract.
