Reasons why you should start a preventative health care program
for your senior cat.

As your cat ages to 7-11 years it becomes increasingly important
to talk to your vet about preserving your cat's health through
his/her senior years. The AAFP recommends that cats falling
under this age group should have twice yearly physical examinations and
annual diagnostics.
Through these twice yearly exams vets can note small, gradual
changes in your cat that can indicate risks for certain health
conditions. By comparing baseline values from year to year you
can be sure your cat will get the medicine and treatment he or
she
needs.
Preventative cat health care includes a complete history and
physical and diagnostic testing such as CBC, blood chemistry,
urinalysis, blood pressure and viral testing.
